Cold Call Clyde |
Super Power: Bad Marketing, No Leads
Clyde takes over when we don’t have marketing systems bringing us leads. He tortures us with poor positioning, getting treated like dirt from clients, and makes us hate our business. He’s what we default to without marketing.
Weakness: Never make another cold call again with systematic marketing. Get good at marketing, kill Cold Call Clyde. |

Won’t Work for me Wally |
Super Power: Mind Control
Wally is the creep that gets into our minds to make us think “But my business is different” or “That sounds good, but that won’t work for me.” Wally is a loser, because he looks for excuses instead of results.
Weakness: Your power to decide. Unlike other external villains, Wally is another easy adversary because you can simply eliminate him from your thoughts. You decided to say “How can I make this work for my business” and he’s a gonner. |

Cheap Skate Charles |
Superpower: De-values products, services, and education so people don’t invest in themselves or in the right products.
Cheap Skate Chals’, as i call him, takes many forms. Sometimes it’s a joker of a client who complains over a $5 billing fee. Sometimes it’s a prospect who calls every tom, dick and harry looking for the cheapest price. The most deadly is when Cheap Skate breaks into our own minds, he convinces us that we don’t need to invest in our education, that we don’t need mentors, coaches, and others to help us make the most of our lives REGARDLESS of the cost… because it comes back to make you money times ten, or even 100.
Weakness: Charles is beat with Education. By investing in ourselves, by educating clients and prospects on the VALUE that we provide, before trying to stuff a product down their throat. Ultimately Cheap Skate Charles goes down, when we become so VALUABLE to the marketplace through our self education, and money making skillset that we can demand premium prices, and we know how to get people to pay them. |

Compliance Cathy |
Super Power: The power to neuter marketing.
We all face Compliance Cathy in one form or another. Whether its home office, red tape of government regulation, the boss, or anyone else that kills our marketing efforts. She can be the ultimate frustration to a great marketing plan.
Unlike the other Villains we face, Cathy is a difficult foe, because you can’t just flat out destroy her (without some pretty severe repercussions:).
Weakness: Use “compliance friendly” Insurance Maverick tools like Joint Ventures, working with organizations, free publicity, and celebrity expertise. PLUS, the internet has given us ways to get around Cathy without even having to wake her from her stupor/slumber. |

Direct Writer Donny |
Superpower: Endless Marketing Budget
DIrect writers are the rats of the industry. Screaming low price until the entire world is convinced cheap price is all that matters. Brainwashing clients to believe they can get everything they need from a box of electronics and an internet connection. But Donny Can Be Beat.
Weakness: Direct Writers will never and can never have a sold relationship with their customers. They can’t be human, even if they have their little staff person in an office. They aren’t the expert. Your Personality, Likability, Expertise and Relationship make Donny Impotent. |
|
 |
Low Price Larry |
Super Power: Will slash prices at all costs
Larry is the joker who gives away his time, products and services for a pittance. He doesn’t value himself, or his time, or any expertise he might have. This devalues the entire industry, and the only way to survive is to be larger than the products we sell and the industry we operate in.
Weakness: Power Positioning and The Celebrity Agent Blueprint will forever crush Low Price, clients will buy from you even if you are the highest priced option they have…because they want to do business with the expert. |
|
 |
Low Retention Rachael |
Super Power: The Power Of Seduction
Her seductive relentless promises of low price and better service makes her a powerful foe. She works with Low Price Larry, Direct Writer Donny, and several of the other jerks that make our lives difficult, and steal our clients.
Weakness: Beat her down by creating relationships so strong clients feel guilty ever talking to your competitors. |
|
 |
Corporate Carl |
Super Power: Leverage and Authority
Carl has the power to effect our futures in ways that can be really scary. Carl sits in his office tower and concocts ways to make us do more work and pay us less commission. In the end he has the power to further our careers or even destroy them.
Weakness: Rainmakers. Once you attract massive amounts of leads, writes tons of business, and makes hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars, Carls power disappears. If you don’t want to work with Carl, leave and work with someone who appreciates you. |

 |
Time Vampire Valerie |
Super Power: Interruption and Distraction
She wastes our time by getting us addicted to email, text messaging, phone calls, and internet distractions. The key to making money is being productive. Action creates money. Val wants you to waste your days putting out insignificant fires and dealing with minutia that doesn’t make you any money. She’s the one who dings every time a new email comes in, she knocks on the door and asks “do you have a minute”, or calls and wastes time with a pointless conversation.
Weakness: The good news is that she is an easy villain to kill. Crush her by running the Misery DELETION Index. You can get rid of her at any time by turning off the cell phone, locking the door, closing the email, and focusing intently on your task at hand. |
|
 |
Boring Agent Bob |
Super Power: Stiff, boring and uninteresting marketing
The number one sin in marketing is Being Boring. Bob kills our marketing and business by making us BORING. He makes us look just like every other stiff in a suit out there. ‘Mee Too’ Marketing… boring and uninteresting.
Weakness: You can eliminate Bob quickly and easily. He’s really not much of a foe at all, because he’s so easy to defeat. Just use Maverick Personality Secrets and he’s a dead man. |
|
 |
Referral Killer Ramone |
Super Power: NEGLECT
Ramone kills referrals by ignoring clients, not nurturing them or communicating with them. He wants us to be “just another salesperson” so they don’t care about us enough to refer anyone to us.
Weakness: LIKABILITY and Relationships. Just use the MASS REFERRAL newsletter along with some sweet online videos and you’ll see clients sending you more referrals than you’ve ever seen. |
|
 |
No Lead Lucy |
Super Power: Bad Marketing
Lucy makes agents and advisors worried sick with no leads coming in. She sells ‘lead systems’ and traditional marketing that sucks. She sends you on wild goose chases with online leads, pipe dreams and wastes your money on so called systems that don’t work.
Weakness: Maverick Marketing Systems. She’s no match for proven and tested lead attraction strategies. |
|
 |
Online Scum Sylvester |
Super Power: His “Hot Leads To Your Inbox” sales pitch
We’ve all had experience with Sylvester. Buying online leads is nothing more than a waste of time, money and energy. He promises hot leads delivered to your inbox…and because we are desperate for leads, we fall prey to his lies and deceit.
Weakness: Qualified, Exclusive Lead Attraction. Agents and Advisors who attract their own exclusive leads with Direct Mail, Free Publicity, Power Positing, Joint Ventures, and Online marketing strategies never fall prey to this predator. |
